Joyce Valencia is member of the Paris Bar.
Prior to practicing law, Joyce Valencia was a legal advisor in the General Directorate of Health and in the Legal Affairs Directorate of the French Ministry of Health (2010-2015). She also had the opportunity to work with recognized teams and international firms with expertise in the pharmaceutical, health and cosmetic industry (Dentons, SEA Avocats, LexCase, Baker&McKenzie).
With over 10 years of experience, Joyce Valencia has extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry environment and related industries.
Her practice focuses on regulatory matters and more particularly, on access to the French market (price and reimbursement) of health products.
Joyce Valencia’s litigation experience at the French Ministry of Health has led her to develop a keen expertise in the area of strategic litigation:
– Administrative litigation relating to access to the French and European market (reimbursement lists’ registration and pricing),
– Administrative health and regulatory litigation, public health law (administrative decisions, sanctions),
– Product liability claims.
The litigation experience combined with legal skills enable Joyce Valencia to conduct effective negotiations with the French health administration.
Joyce Valencia works in Spanish (she spent over 15 years in Mexico), English and French (she has been living in France for 20 years).
